Bahco in brief

Bahco has been making saws since 1886. Today it is a Swedish heritage brand within SNA Europe, and its bandsaw programme is organised by range code: 3851 to 3881, covering metal cutting from small contour machines to full production saws.

The codes climb by duty. The Easy-Cut band is the multipurpose choice for varied work in tool rooms and fabricating shops. The Sandflex Cobra and King Cobra names mark the production bi-metal ranges for steel and difficult alloys. Top Fabricator is aimed at structural sections, tube and profiles. The carbide blades take over for the hardest alloys.

Yes. The band is made by Bahco. We sell it made to order, cut and welded to the loop length you choose. Every specification we list comes from Bahco's published range data.

Which Bahco range suits my work?

As a general rule the Easy-Cut 3857 suits mixed workshop cutting. The Sandflex Cobra and King Cobra ranges are production bi-metal blades for steel and difficult alloys, and Top Fabricator 3853 suits structural sections, tube and profiles. The carbide ranges from 3859 to 3881 take over where bi-metal wears too fast, on titanium, high-temperature alloys and hardened or abrasive material. The range table above gives a short description of every blade.
