Payments
Paying for a blade should be the least interesting part of the order. Checkout takes debit and credit cards through Stripe, a widely used payment processor.
Stripe handles the card details end to end: they are entered on Stripe's payment page, encrypted in transit and never touch our servers. What we receive is confirmation that the payment went through, and your order is then sent for making.
Buy the same blades regularly? The trade accounts page explains how to get in touch.
What you see at checkout
Four steps between your basket and your confirmation.
Your basket
The basket lists each blade with its length and quantity, the carriage on any cutting fluids and the expected delivery date. If you have a promotion code, you enter it there.
Your details
At checkout you give your email address and your billing and delivery addresses. You can check out as a guest, or sign in to an account.
Stripe's payment page
You are passed to Stripe's secure payment page to enter your card. The total on that page is the total in your basket.
Your confirmation
Once the payment goes through you see a confirmation page, and we email an order confirmation with your lines, the totals, your delivery address and the expected delivery date.
How VAT is shown
VAT is added to your order at the rate in force and itemised in the basket and at checkout, so you can see the VAT you pay or can reclaim. Every order confirmation shows the VAT charged.
Our VAT number: GB355975213
If you buy regularly
Card payment through Stripe is how orders are paid in the shop, for everyone. If you buy the same blades again and again, the trade accounts page explains what an account holds and how to get in touch.
