This is a short page because the honest answer is short: this site sets no advertising cookies and nothing that follows you around the web. It keeps your basket, a random id that lets us see the blades you price as one quote, and your sign-in while you are signed in.
1. Everything this site stores in your browser
The table below is the complete list. There is no advertising and no cross-site tracking, and nothing follows you around the web after you leave.

2. Why there is no consent banner
UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025) requires consent for cookies and similar storage unless it is strictly necessary or falls under one of the exceptions. The sign-in cookie and the basket are what you asked the site to do: keep you signed in and remember what you added. The quote id is used only to understand how our blades are priced on this site and to improve the service, which the law allows without consent as long as we tell you clearly and you can object: this page is how we tell you, and the switch below is how you object. Usage counts use no storage at all, and Stripe's cookies on its payment page serve taking your payment securely.
3. Managing what is stored
You can clear cookies and site data for thebandsawstore.co.uk at any time through your browser's settings. The visible effect is that clearing the sign-in cookie signs you out and clearing local storage empties your basket and starts a new quote id.
