Terms and conditions
The terms that apply to every order placed on this website, written to match how the store works: blades made to order and cutting fluids supplied in containers.

2. Ordering and acceptance
Placing an order on this site is an offer to buy. A contract is made when we send you an order confirmation email. Until then we may decline an order, for example where a price or specification was published in error, and anything you have already paid is refunded in full.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you enter, above all the blade length and the delivery address. The custom lengths page explains how to measure a band, and we would always rather answer a question before an order than after one.
3. Blades are made to order
Every blade is cut from coil and welded to the loop length you enter, which makes it a product made to your specification. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 the right to cancel a distance contract does not apply to goods made to a consumer's specification, so a blade cannot be cancelled or returned for a change of mind once you have ordered it.
If you spot a mistake, contact us straight away. If the blade has not yet been made we will try to change or cancel the order, but we cannot promise to. This is the same position as our returns and refunds page. The table sets out the position for each kind of order.
| Kind of order | Change of mind | Faulty or not as described |
|---|---|---|
| Blade made to your length | Not available, because it is made to your specification | Put right, and your statutory rights apply |
| Other goods, such as cutting fluids | Your statutory rights as a consumer apply, so contact us first | Put right, and your statutory rights apply |
4. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. The total you pay is the total shown at checkout before you pay, and it includes carriage where carriage applies, which is on cutting fluids. Payment is taken by card through Stripe when you check out, as the payments page describes.
Where a price is obviously wrong, for example through a typing or data error, we will contact you with the correct price before the order is made or dispatched and you may cancel at no cost.
VAT is added to the price at the rate in force. It is itemised in the basket, at checkout and on your order confirmation, which also carries our VAT number.
5. Delivery
We deliver by courier to addresses on the UK mainland. Dispatch times, courier times and carriage are set out on the delivery page. The expected delivery date shown in your basket and on your order confirmation is our estimate based on those times.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes to you when we have received payment in full.
6. Returns and refunds
The returns and refunds page explains how to start a return and forms part of these terms. In short, a blade made to your length cannot be returned for a change of mind, and goods that are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose are put right. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including those under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
7. Safe use and liability
Bandsaw blades are industrial cutting tools. You are responsible for choosing a blade suitable for your machine and material, for fitting, tensioning and guarding it correctly and for following the machine manufacturer's instructions. Technical data on this site comes from the blade manufacturers' published ranges.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, our liability for any order is limited to the price paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost production time. If you buy as a consumer, this does not affect your statutory rights.
8. Your information
How we use your personal information is set out in the privacy policy, and what the site stores in your browser is set out in the cookie policy.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you buy as a consumer, you keep any additional statutory rights the law gives you.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
