Returns and refunds

A blade made to your length cannot be returned for a change of mind, because it is made for your machine alone. A faulty blade, or one that is not what you ordered, is put right. Contact us first, and four steps get any return moving.

  1. Tell us

Get in touch with your order number and what has gone wrong, using the contact page. Please do not post anything back before we have replied.

  2. We confirm

We look at what you have told us, say what we can do and explain how the return works before a parcel moves.

  3. Send it back

If the goods need to come back, we tell you where to send them and who arranges the carriage.

  4. Refund or replacement

Where a refund is due, it goes back to the card you paid with. Where a replacement is the answer, we arrange it with you.

Our returns policy

Made to length: no change of mind

A blade welded to your stated length is made to your specification, so it cannot be returned if you change your mind or order the wrong length. Check the length before you order. The custom lengths page shows how to measure.

Faulty or not as ordered: put right

A blade that arrives damaged, fails because of a fault or is not what you ordered is put right. Contact us first with your order number and what happened, and we replace it or refund it.

Other goods: your statutory rights

Goods that are not made to order, such as cutting fluids, are covered by your statutory rights as a consumer. Contact us before you send anything back, and none of this affects those rights.

Packing a return

Once we have agreed that something is coming back, pack it as it arrived. Coil the blade the way it came so it does not spring open, keep it in its carton and keep the packaging the courier gave you until we have agreed what happens next.

If you are not sure whether something qualifies, ask first on the contact page. The custom lengths page shows how to measure so that the first order is the right one.

Returns questions, answered straight

What we hear most when something has to come back.

Can I return a custom length blade?

Not for a change of mind: a blade welded to your stated length is made for your machine alone. Double-check the length before ordering and ask us if anything is unclear. A faulty blade, or one that is not what you ordered, is a different matter and we put it right.

How do I start a return?

Use the contact page with your order number and a short description of what has gone wrong. Please do not post anything back until we have replied.

Who pays for the return?

Contact us first and we explain how the return works before you send anything. If goods are faulty or not what you ordered, you should not be out of pocket for putting that right.

What counts as a faulty blade?

A blade that fails at the weld early in its life, arrives damaged or does not match the specification you ordered. Tell us what happened and what the blade was cutting, and we look into it.

  • Faults put right

A faulty or incorrectly supplied blade is put right.

  • Contact first

Tell us before you send anything back.

  • Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page affects the rights the law gives you.
