What does soluble cutting fluid do on a bandsaw?
It cools the tooth tips and the workpiece, lubricates the cut so teeth shear instead of rubbing, and flushes swarf out of the gullets. Together that protects the edge and keeps the cut clean, which is why saws that cut steel are normally run with coolant.
Which grade should I buy?
The Floodcut and Mistcut ranges and their grades are Rods Oil's own. We list each grade and its pack sizes but not the manufacturer's ratings, so check Rods Oil's guidance for the metals and machine you run, or contact us with your machine and material.
How is carriage charged on this fluid?
